Sovova Residence

The Sovova Residence is an example of a sensitive approach to working in a historical environment. The original 1909 building, which is now a listed building, has undergone a complete renovation to combine its unique architecture with contemporary requirements for comfortable and sustainable rental housing.

The key was to retain the original features while working with materials that sensitively complement the character of the house. "When designing a modern interior for a historic building, it is essential to respect the original architectural details and avoid interventions that would disrupt spatial or aesthetic continuity - for example, in facades, staircases or interior articulation. On the contrary, it is necessary to adhere to the principles of harmonious composition, where contemporary materials, colour accents and improved layouts complement the historical structure and connect the past with the present," explains Aneta Rybníčková from KYZLINK ARCHITECTS.

For the residence, we supplied a wide range of furnishings from our portfolio - from dining and conference tables to sofas, chairs and other accessories. Each piece was chosen to support the overall concept: a natural blend of the past with modern design to create a home that feels elegant, functional and authentic.
