The perforated steel hanging lamp was designed in 1953.

In the post-war optimism of the 1950s, Mathieu Matégot used his own material innovation, Rigitulle, in his Satelite collection, whose name pays homage to the scientific progress in France at the time.

This atypical technique, which combines metal tubes with perforated sheet metal, allows the fabric-like sheet to be folded into an original oblong-shaped pendant light fixture.
