The high, rounded shell of the chair was originally inspired by the shape of pebbles on the seashore, perfectly smoothed by the never-ending work and power of the sea waves.

The side notches give the chair personality, create elbow support and help when standing up.

When viewed from the side, they give the chair a slightly naive expression reminiscent of the imposing silent sculptures of the Easter Islands (hence the name of the chair).
