MYNT

The new Mynt chair by Erwan Bouroullec brings a new way of sitting to offices, public spaces, and home interiors. It responds to the fact that people no longer sit in one chair for long periods of time and instead often share chairs with other users.

Do prostředí kanceláře přináší Mynt uvolněnou atmosféru, zatímco domácí interiéry obohatí svou dynamikou a funkcemi kancelářské židle.

Mynt’s patented mechanism is activated by body weight and tilts forward or backward depending on the user’s position—the seat moves independently of the backrest.

Mynt not only provides a new seating experience, but its dynamic style also has a positive impact on physical health and well-being.

COURIER

The new Courier is an aesthetically appealing object that serves as both a work desk and a work of art. The desk naturally combines two high-quality materials, wood and aluminum, creating a striking yet understated whole. The design is by Ronan Bouroullec.

In addition to industrial design, Ronan Bouroullec is also passionately devoted to fine art, creating intricate drawings in which he manually repeats intuitive sequences of lines using a Japanese felt-tip brush. The contours of the Courier table can be seen as another variation on this artistic style, yet they also demonstrate Bouroullec’s sense of form and composition as well as his technical expertise.

Courier joins George Nelson’s Home Desk, Jean Prouvé’s Compas Direction, and Charles and Ray Eames’ EDU in an iconic series of aesthetically appealing objects that are both a desk and a work of art.

Viewed from the side, the desk’s silhouette resembles the design of a serif typeface—hence the name Courier, one of the most famous serif typefaces.

TYDE 2 HOME DESK

Alternating between sitting and standing while working at a computer has proven health benefits. This also applies to home offices. In such an environment, however, the furniture should ideally feel casual and relaxed, which is why Vitra, together with Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, developed the Tyde 2 Home Desk.

Like the entire Tyde 2 family of office desks, the Home Desk is electrically height-adjustable. The technical components, however, remain discreetly hidden, while the base and tabletop are designed with the aesthetics of simple lines and soft curves, making it easy to integrate the desk into a wide variety of living environments.
