Realization: Fatfuck Brno

An interior that delivers a gastronomic experience that’s a feast for the eyes as well.

Following the success of the Prague bistro FATFUCK, the owners decided to expand to Brno with a clear vision—to build on the successful concept while creating a unique space that would feel authentic to the new location. Another key requirement was maximizing the use of space, which is crucial for the economic sustainability of the business in the restaurant industry.

Studio Postrop, the design firm behind the project, decided to connect the interior with what is served on the plate. That is why the interior features materials commonly associated with the kitchen, not necessarily with the restaurant itself. Stainless steel, parchment paper, and yellow accents inspired by the color of cheddar cheese create a fresh visual identity that directly references the restaurant’s menu.

An important part of the interior is the combination of custom-made elements and standard products, which made it possible to keep the budget within reasonable limits while creating an original design. An example is the central light fixture above the main table—it is a modified standard model that has been supplemented with a mirror reflecting the feast of burgers and crispy fries taking place below it.

FATFUCK Brno demonstrates that even a small restaurant interior can be bold, playful, and yet fully functional. By integrating the visual design with the culinary offerings, making innovative use of the space, and combining standard and custom-made elements, an interior has been created that not only underscores the brand’s identity but also provides a unique experience for every guest.
