PKV Build has grown to over 120 employees, so the company decided to move to larger premises. Their previous offices, designed by Andrea Pastrnek, had already won the 2020 Office of the Year award. That is why they hired the same architect for their new space, who came up with a concept for an energy laboratory of the future.

The four floors of PKV’s offices in the “I” building in the Vlněna complex in Brno are designed with a unified concept, which, however, takes on a different character on each floor. The main themes of the design are light and the ecosystem—two forces that shape the space both visually and emotionally.

The individual floors are divided according to ecosystem types, for example, into an artificial ecosystem, where meeting rooms are named CITY, FIELD, and DAM, or a natural ecosystem, where we find OCEAN, DESERT, and RAINFOREST. On the top floor are the space-themed meeting rooms: SUN, EARTH, and MOON. On the lowest floor, the spaces are closer to the core: CAVE and VOLCANO.
