Presentation of Catifa Carta in the Karlin showroom
Presentation of the Catifa Carta Project at Our Showroom in Karlín
Last week, an inspiring event took place at our showroom in Prague’s Karlín district, where we presented the Catifa Carta project, one of the latest models from Arper. This exceptional event was enriched by the personal participation of Andrea Mulloni, Head of Sustainability at Arper, who shared with us deep insights into the philosophy of sustainability behind this product.
Catifa Carta
In his presentation, Andrea Mulloni introduced the innovative design of the Catifa Carta chair, which is made from 29 layers of cellulose paper bonded with natural resin. This revolutionary material not only captures carbon dioxide throughout the chair’s entire lifespan but also minimizes its environmental footprint thanks to its recyclability. The seat of the chair is even compostable and will naturally decompose over time, allowing the cycle to begin anew.
Why is Catifa Carta exceptional?
Catifa Carta is an example of how design can combine aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. This model highlights that modern furniture can be not only beautiful and practical but also planet-friendly. The Catifa Carta chair thus becomes not just a piece of furniture but also a symbol of sustainability in design.
In addition to Andrea Mulloni, other guests—Pavla Preissová and Lukasz Panek—also spoke at the event, sharing their perspectives on the role of design in today’s world and its impact on the future of our environment.
The event was a great success and attracted many professionals from the fields of design, architecture, and sustainability. Guests appreciated not only the content of the presentation but also the opportunity to discuss the topic of sustainability with experts in person.
We would like to thank all participants for attending and engaging in the discussion. Your interest and support inspire us to continue our work in the field of sustainable design.
