Design block 2020
From October 7 to 11, the former Gabriel Loci convent in Prague 5 was transformed into a gallery space to host the 22nd edition of Designblok.
This year, 227 exhibitors participated, and we were among them for the first time.
Infinity Room
For our exhibition, we joined forces with the VISUALOVE collective—multimedia architects who create works at the intersection of architecture, lighting design, event design, video mapping, scenography, and stage design.
The challenge was also accepted by Ing. arch. Nermin Fehimović—a renowned architect from the London-based studio Wick Architects.
The result of this collaboration was an interactive simulation of infinite space—a play of light, sound, and mirrors. We used digital LED strips and custom-composed music that responded to visitors’ interactions with one of our flagship products—the TRIFIDAE chair.
Despite the challenging pandemic situation and strict measures, our presentation was a resounding success.
LINO DESIGN Karlín Showroom
Part of our participation in Designblok was an accompanying event where we unveiled the concept for our new showroom space in the Butterfly building in Karlín.
This unique building is characterized by its unconventional rounded shapes; from a bird’s-eye view, it resembles butterfly wings.
This unique space will serve as a wonderful introduction to our planned showroom and will perfectly complement our products on display.
You can look forward to our new showroom as early as the beginning of next year.
